SAYED OBAIDULLAH HAKIMI
My Name is Sayed Obaidullah Hakimi. I was born in Kabul Afghanistan. Then our family move to Polikhomri city of Baghlan Province about 200 miles north to Kabul City. I finished high school at Khatom-u-Anbia High School in 2001. Our family lived in Afghanistan during the civil war and Taliban regime. Although my family wasn’t rich but never let me leave my school and always, they support me during my studying.

I passed Kankor exam with grading pass to Kabul Polytechnic University of Kabul in 2002. Kabul Polytechnic University is the biggest engineering university in Afghanistan. The university was built by Russians and all the studying materials was coming from Russia. I graduated from Civil and Industrial Construction faculty in 2008. My final thesis was construction technology and management.

My first professional job was as a field engineer in construction of Ghori Cement Factory II. Then I started working with a local company for a year. I Started working as a CAD designer then become project manager with Consultant Burau of Reconstruction (CBR). All our projects were construction of irrigation systems in northern east of Afghanistan With Panj-Amo River Basin. The project was financial supported by European Union and our client was Ministry of Energy and Water of Afghanistan.
Ghori Cement Factories
I moved to Kabul City and start working with Specialists CJV for 3 years an US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) contractors. The project included construction of military bases for US Army and Afghan national Army and Afghan National Police. Projects were all across the country.
In 2011 I Become Site Resident Engineer for Global Oriental Consultant a Japanese Company. The Company was working with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Our company Had the project for Construction of AIRD training center for the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Afghanistan.
From 2015 to 2017 I was working as Senior Project Controller and Scheduler with the Ministry of Urban Development of Afghanistan. Our team was working for Reconstruction of Darul Aman Palace and all other historical monuments of Afghanistan. During my working in this position our team reconstruct about 100 historical monuments across the country.
I moved to USA in August 2017 with family. First, I went to Las Vegas. I lived there for 10 months, then I moved Seattle still living here. I was trying to find a job which can match my professional background, unfortunately I was unsuccessful to get one. In 2019 I start class in Highline college to get a AAS degree in Draft and Design Technology and now it is my last quarter to finish it.
